Avalon Rises

Avalon Rises is not simply a play of two people sitting on thrones, waiting for their lives to change.  Or perhaps it is, but it is too a reflection of our own inactivity and our seemingly lacking ambition to know one another (until we are forced to). Exploring connection, history, and the lifespan of our secrets, the play tracks the legendary King Arthur and Queen Guinevere in their purgatory of Avalon, as they consider returning to our world. But, as they are riddled with their own passivity, they must grapple with the ceaseless expanse of time and how they can remain themselves in spite of it—or perhaps alongside it. Because…
