Inhale
“My life for a kiss?”
“Our lives for your pride.”
Inhale is an expressionist investigation of what it means to be alive when you know your life is over. Over a game of chess, the play details the political fallout of two women whose love has committed them to a set fate. Because in a society completely ordered by rules, to break one is to break them all. As they await their fates, the two disjointedly attempt to say goodbye.
Checkmate. Farewell.
