Everything Must Go (Including Us) is an immersive, environmental site-specific piece tracing how we leave behind the spaces and objects we abandon. Through an exploration of and physical interaction with a preserved multi-generational home, the audience will uncover and collectively piece together the story of the family who once lived there, what their relationships and personalities were, and why they abandoned this place they had so lovingly constructed — all while our very presences here contribute to this home’s destruction.

This piece is intended as a musing on the meanings we impart on objects and places and the ghosts of those meanings that remain when we leave those places, as well as the nature of discovery and our own complicity in uncovering others’s stories.
